Australian Blackwood is a very close cousin to Koa and can vary from dark to light in colour and straight grained to figured. In the tradition of guitars made from Koa tops, backs and sides in the USA for over 100 years, Cole Clark have introduced a guitar with an Australian Blackwood top, back, sides and headstock but with a Queensland Maple neck.
